Gov.-elect Mike Kehoe has appointed his senior staff.
The line-up includes key staffers from his time in the lieutenant governor’s office, a policy director from Gov. Mike Parson’s administration and officials who served in former Gov. Matt Blunt’s administration.
“I’m ready to get to work with this talented group of hardworking individuals who share my vision and passion for securing an even better future for Missourians,” Kehoe said in a news release Monday. “I’ve known and worked closely with many of them for years, and each person brings invaluable experiences and expertise to the Governor’s Office. I look forward to having this team by my side as we work to make Missouri an even better place to live and work.”
Following Kehoe from the lieutenant governor’s office are his chief of staff and transition director Adam Gresham, his communications director Gabrielle Picard and Casey Adrian, the office’s Buy Missouri director and tourism liaison.
Gresham will continue to serve as chief of staff in the Governor’s Office. A Marine Corps veteran, he’s previously worked in the Missouri Senate and the Blunt administration.
Picard most recently served as Kehoe’s campaign communications director, and will hold the same role in the Governor’s Office. She served as Kehoe’s spokesperson during his time as lieutenant governor and previously served on Parson’s communication team.
Adrian will serve as deputy chief of staff for operations. While serving in the lieutenant governor’s office, she managed the state program promoting Missouri products and goods, as well as state tourism.
Bill Anderson will serve as deputy chief of staff for policy and legislation. The former vice president of state legislation for the Missouri Hospital Association, he also previously served as executive director of the Missouri Technology Corporation and as policy director in the Blunt administration.
Jamie Birch will remain the governor’s policy director, holding onto the position from Parson’s administration. She joined the office in 2020 and has managed the policy portfolio of the state’s 17 executive agencies. She previously served as legislative director for the Missouri Public Service Commission.
Drew Dampf will be Kehoe’s legislative director. He holds years of legislative experience having served as chief of staff to the Senate majority floor leader and the chairman of the Senate appropriations committee.
Lowell Pearson, a managing partner at Husch Blackwell, will serve as Kehoe’s general counsel. With more than 30 years of experience in law, he previously served as the deputy director of revenue and general counsel to Blunt.
Kehoe’s transition team will continue to announce administration appointments during the next few weeks, according to the news release.
The governor-elect will take office on inauguration day Jan. 13.
